An exquisite performer with a veracious path, romantically draping an elegant voice around her guitar.
Hannah Cooper is a multi-award winning singer-songwriter who grew up in rural Minnesota listening to show tunes and film scores. Being a multi-instrumentalist, with an attraction for half-diminished chords, has lead to a Jazzy romantic vibe to her sound. Some listeners call her original music a cross between Americana and jazz styles -- perhaps Joni Mitchell meets Hoagy Carmichael. Accompanied by her distinctive mezzo-soprano voice, listeners may mistake her for KD Lang- up until Hannah shapes her voice to mimic the sound of a trumpet. She writes in multiple layers of the song, giving it a complex, yet tastefully familiar experience for the listener.
